From start to finish our stay at the Royal Marine was excellent. As we enjoy swimming we took full advantage of the superb leisure facilities including relaxing in the hydropool. The room had air conditioning, keeping the summer heat 'at bay'. All staff encountered were courteous and efficient. Not forgwetting the food, both breakfast and dinner was excellent each day, with ample choice. We have already booked a return visit for four days in late December and really looking forward to returning. Well Done the Royal marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire!

The hotel is beautiful, very well maintained and in a great location. Its close to great shops, bars and restaurants although the hotel itself offerred a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food. I have stayed at the Royal Marine twice this year aready. I made use of the gym, the pool and the spa which I found to be great value and the girls were fantastic. This is easily one of my favourite Irish hotels and I look forward to staying again in the near future.

Fantastic hotel, fantastic location right next to the sea, you can walk for hours along the coast! Right next to the town and all the coffee shops and resturants. Food was top notch, but a little slow to arrive when busy, but worth waiting for. Room Perfect with FREE wired internet.

Very good quality hotel. We had a great sea-view from room. Food was of a high standard with very friendly staff. Pool was also lovely and we had convenient access to Dublin via DART.

I was delighted and surprised by my experience at the Royal Marine Hotel earlier this month. The building has stood as the Grand Old Dame of Dun Laoghaire for so many years, I expected it to have lots of character, but to be damp, dingy and in need of updating. I was so happy to discover that all the updating had already been done! The public spaces are wonderful, our rooms were decorated beautifully, our view of the sea was a delight, and the Junior Suite that my young married relatives were booked into was huge and magnificently appointed! The new wing in no way feels less magestic than the original building. The construction and furnishings made a perfect, seamless addition to the Royal Marine. Wonderfully accomodating staff, great breakfasts, and so very near to the DART ~ I'd have to say that the Royal Marine Hotel was a treasure, and I shall be returning there whenever I'm in the Dublin area.

i stayed in the royal marine hotel for 3 nights 18th to 20th Feb 2010 and i can honestly say it was the best Hotel i ever stayed at. the room was spacious with both a double and single bed and serviced by the most courtious staff. The food in the Restraunt was excellant. i would not stay anywhere else if i was in Dublin any time in the future good on you Royal Marine and keep up the good work

What a lovely Hotel the Royal Marine is. We stayed 6 Feb 2010. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was exceptionally lushous and comfortable. Great value for the price and I will definitely stay again. Only down point I might add would be that the bar prices are a bit high. Other than that, the hotel has a lot to offer and is very central in Dun Laoighaire.

A fantastic Hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great food and the fitness facilities are top notch. My room was modern yet still warm and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay and when I next return to Ireland and wish to stay near Dublin the Royal Marine Hotel will be my first choice.

I only stayed there for one night.The staff was friendly and very helpful.The room itself was very spacious, and it had a big gorgiss comfy bed,that i would love to take it home with me! the hotel car park is free and is located underneath the hotel and easy to get to.highly recommend this hotel to anyone,i would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at The Royal Marine on a number of occasions (mainly with family) and have always enjoyed my experience there - that is why I always return. Rooms are very comfortable (especially the beds). Staff are always attentive and polite - thank yol.

Overall it's a great hotel. The first night I was checked into room 616 in the build and there was a very annoying noise coming from outside room which resulted little sleep. The room I was moved to was great and I had a good stay but the bathroom had broken tiles and stains which gives the impression it's not clean. The was issues with some of the TV channels which appeared to be isolated to my room.

A a very welcoming hotel, with relaxed, efficient and friendly staff. I was delighted with my room which was clean comfortable and for a bonus overlooking the harbour. centrally located, it was easy to get around the town and sea front and with a few minutes walk from the dart, easy access to Dublin and beyond. a most enjoyable stay.

This was my first stay in the refurbished Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire and it would be a genuine understatement to say that my overall experience in the house was exemplary. I would highly recommend this hotel for value and the excellence of service.

I booked in during the coldest winter in over 30 years and even though I arrived late at the hotel, the receptionist ensured that the room she booked me in to was already heated, a small touch but a huge difference to me.

Enjoyed our stay tremendously!The great location & ambiance of the royal marine took us away to another place & time, & spoiled us. Stayed in room 402 next to the charlie chaplin suite,was luxurious,romantic & quiet,could have used a little more lighting as only a small window in the room,but view of little sailboats in the harbour & people walking the promanade was very enjoyable, got a fantastic rate for 3 nights,but the very best of all was the huge bed, all I can say is QUALITY, so soft it was like being cuddled on a swans back, we never wanted to get out of it,or go home.Leisure center was nice & intimate,but make SURE you bring your own flipflops, the tiles can be slippery,& you will pay 17 euro at the hotel for a pair,although penneys is just around the corner. Would I stay there again? MY BAGS ARE ALREADY PACKED!!!!!

My mum and I really enjoyed our 2 night B&B and evening meal at the Royal Marine. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and so professional at all times, nothing was a problem for them.

WE HAD A WONDERFULL STAY AT ROYAL MARINE HOTEL... KIDS LOVED THE SWIMMING POOL. THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC. WE WILL RETURN FOR ANOTHER STAY... THANK YOU...
