Vintage fashion & Decor Fair returns to the Royal Marine Hotel

March 24, 2014

Started in 1989, at the height of a previous recession, Antiques Fairs Ireland came of age in 2011 and is heading into its quarter century still going strong, having survived boom and bust. Needless to say, over that long period of time, tastes and habits have changed dramatically. Antiques (and More) fairs are held year round, at least twice a month, with events rotating between Dublin city centre, Dublin northside and southside, and occasional fairs at other venues around the country. At the fairs you can discover the joys of bargain hunting, whether making a “find” for your collection, sourcing inexpensive and attractive bits and pieces for the home, or beautiful jewellery and vintage fashion for yourself. In 2009 the business was updated with the addition of the Vintage Ireland brand, to promote events offering vintage fashion and 20th century décor. The Vintage Fashion and Décor Fairs, which take place twice a year, originally had a younger clientele with very different tastes and collecting habits in mind. So much has changed since the first Vintage Fairs that Antiques Fairs Ireland / Vintage Ireland events have more or less merged, with vintage fashion and 20th century homewares being found alongside the traditional collectors items and Victorian furniture at the regular antiques fairs, while younger clients who originally had no interest in “old” furniture have now become enthusiastic bargain hunters at the antiques fairs all year round. We still plan on continuing the twice yearly Vintage Fashion and Décor Fair as a very special event dedicated to glamour and style, where visitors enjoy a great day out, and appreciate the fashion, design, music and lifestyle of the 20th century. If you are a trader interested in taking part in any of the events, you can contact Antiques Fairs Ireland / Vintage Ireland via the Contact link on the website. http://vintageireland.eu/events/
